During service he served with RAF 5131 Bomb Disposal Squadron, Gareth trained as a Bomb Disposal Operator, developing and delivering training programs to meet the high operational tempo in the UK and overseas. He completed several tours in Iraq, undertaking roles that ranged from bomb disposal to aircraft support.
In the final six years of his RAF career, Gareth served as an instructor at RAF College Cranwell, where he prepared future officers for the next stages of their training. He concluded his military service as a Weapons Safety Specialist on the Apache E at Defence Equipment and Support.
After transitioning from the Royal Air Force, Gareth retrained in the Fire and Security industry before joining the Lincoln College Group as a Lecturer in Fire and Security.
Currently, as the Curriculum Lead at the Air and Space Institute (ASI), Gareth is passionate about enhancing the learning experience. He is committed to finding innovative ways to help students realise their full potential and thrive in the future workforce.
