First-year Military and Defence Pilot Pathway student Antoni Bagrowski has been awarded a fully funded Private Pilot Licence, PPL(A) scholarship by The Honourable Company of Air Pilots.
The exciting scholarship will enable Antoni to undertake his flight training at Gamston Flying School, where he will complete a minimum of 40 hours of flight training alongside ten theoretical examinations. A significant part of the programme includes solo cross-country flying, providing invaluable experience as he progresses towards achieving his Private Pilot Licence.
Having begun training in May, Antoni has already completed 10 hours of flying and recently celebrated a major milestone by undertaking his first solo flight.
This latest achievement follows Antoni's successful gliding scholarship last year and reflects his dedication, commitment, and passion for aviation. Through hard work and determination, he is making the most of every opportunity available to support his ambitions within the industry.

Antoni is expected to complete his PPL by September 2026, just as he begins his second year at ASI. Achieving this qualification at such an early stage of his training places him in an excellent position as he continues to pursue his goal of becoming a professional pilot.
He also credits his success to the support and guidance provided by his ASI lecturers, whose expertise and experience as industry professionals have played an important role in his development.
Looking ahead, Antoni remains open to a future career in either the Royal Air Force or the commercial aviation sector. With a growing list of achievements already to his name, he is well on his way to an exciting future in aviation.
