Develop skills for you career
Students on our Pilot Pathway will start by studying a common curriculum designed to familiarise themselves with the aviation industry as a whole.
Employers and industry experts have told us that they need staff that understand and appreciate the knowledge skills and competencies of a range of job roles across aviation. This level of broad understanding will make our graduates more effective in their careers when they progress.
Students will then begin to specialise in pilot or tourism-related topics, progressing through education levels 2 and 3.
The Aviation Level 2 one-year programme is a great starting point for students who didn't quite get the GCSE grades for the Level 3 Pilot & Aviation Operations course. Build a good foundation of knowledge on this course whilst retaking your GCSE Maths and/or English. Once GCSE grades are secured, Level 2 students can progress to Level 3 programmes.
Enrichment opportunities on this pathway include practical flight experience in a light aircraft and hands-on learning using our state-of-the-art flight simulators, enhancing practical skills and industry insight!

Grace Hickson “I really enjoyed my time at ASI. Throughout my application process to Rolls Royce I had guidance from my tutors, they helped me make a presentation and even lent me a HP turbine blade for the interview.”
